Blockade Games announces its blockchain game developer platform

US developer Blockade Games is best known for its forthcoming blockchain RPG Neon District.

But the company has another string to its bow.

It’s just announced its blockchain game developer platform.

That’s the tech it’s been using for Neon District and its other game Plasma Bears. It uses Ethereum as its Layer 1 blockchain and Loom Network’s Basechain to provide better UX and onboarding.

In terms of standards, it supports ERC20 tokens and ERC721 and ERC1155 non-fungibles.

In addition, the infrastructure will also feature Blockade’s innovative research to bridge Bitcoin and Ethereum using the Lightning Network.

This means players can buy items in a game running on Ethereum using Bitcoin.

Blockade says it’s now accepting applications to use its technology for Q1 2020.

You can find out more details via the platform’s website.
