Ready Player Me partners with PIXELYNX to bring its avatars to the music metaverse

Cross-game avatar platform Ready Player Me has announced a new partnership with the music gaming platform – PIXELYNX. This collaborative agreement will enable players of RPE to use their digital avatars on PIXELYNX’s upcoming game, including its extensive take on the metaverse, or ‘Musicverse’.

Bridging multiple titles, Ready Player Me allows users to easily traverse worlds without the need to change avatars. All players need to do is take a selfie in order to create their unique 3D avatars and customise them with a wide array of wearable NFTs.

We’re very excited to partner with the amazing team of music and gaming industry veterans at Pixelynx. This partnership will allow users to use their Ready Player Me avatars in the Pixelynx metaverse and collect NFTs as customization assets,” explains Kaspar Tiri, Co-Founder at Ready Player Me. “Pixelynx are building the leading music metaverse that is transforming the way artists connect and engage with their fans through gaming experiences. We share the same vision and we couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration.”

Prior to this announcement, Ready Player Me had announced a Series A funding round of $13 million, with the aim of expanding its team worldwide, and building up an extensive portfolio of partnerships, including PIXELYNX. So far, the company has been very successful in this aggressive campaign of striking new partnerships; having established over 1,000 with brands like VRChat, Somnium Space, TCL, Hiberworld and more.

Established by Deadmau5 (or Joel Zimmerman) and Richie Hawtin, PIXELYNX is a music gaming platform that gives musicians and artists the opportunity to launch their own Augmented Reality-based mobile and PC titles. In doing so, artists will be able to monetise through a range of collectable NFTs, along with music sales and virtual performances within the musicverse.
