Horizon adopts Polygon zkEVM for Sequence wallet

Canadian web3 developer Horizon Blockchain Games has been busy announcing multiple partnerships around its Sequence wallet and onboarding infrastructure.

The first deal see Horizon announcing that it’s going to support Polygon’s new zkEVM layer 2 solution within Sequence, which enables all developers using Sequence to access a higher performance network which has much lower fees while maintaining the security guarantees of the Ethereum mainnet.

The other announcement see Horizon partnering with Fenix Games, again in terms of the Sequence wallet.

Fenix Games is the startup from several executives from Mythical Games, which is building out a web3 game publishing business backed by investors in Dubai. Fenix will be using Sequence to ensure the games it publishes can address a mainstream audience.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Fenix Games to further drive our mission to make web3 easy, fun, and accessible for players and builders to drive the adoption of web3 and the next generation of games, internet economies, and experiences,” commented Horizon’s CEO Peter Kieltyka.

“We’re supporting the onboarding of the next one billion users to web3 and we see Fenix Games as strategic partners to bring this vision to life by making web3 games more fun, powerful, and beneficial for gamers and game developers.”
