Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and the recently released Legends of the Mara, has divulged that 30,000 HV-MTLs have made their way to the BAYC. These NFTs, summoned from the enigmatic space-time rift, will play an important role in the cosmic battle ahead.
The HV-MTL NFTs will usher in a new phase titled “It Came Through the Rift,” which is scheduled to start in April, pushing the larger saga ahead. A game related to the new NFTs is set to release in May.
HVs (pronounced as ‘heavy’) are evolving mecha NFTs that will form depending on the user’s decisions. Each NFT will have a different personality, skills and roles. With their engineered transformation, no two HVs will be the same. At present, there are eight types of HVs that have several traits.
The composition of the 30,000 NFTs is as follows –

HV owners are invited to an HV-MTL Forge immersive workshop that will help them forge and customize their HVs for the challenges of the new phase. With their HV creations, users can climb up the leaderboard and unlock exclusive abilities that might be handy later on.
Users are encouraged to take part in the Forge workshop in order to prepare their HVs for the upcoming cosmic battle, before the next chapter of the Yuga universe begins.
