South Korean mobile gaming giant Netmarble has joined hands with top gaming metaverse The Sandbox.
The partnership aims to enrich The Sandbox’s metaverse content by leveraging Netmarble’s brands and intellectual properties to create new unique player experiences.
Initially, The Sandbox will introduce a ‘Netmarble IP LAND’ within its Korean-focused K-Verse. This area will be a 6×6-sized plot where players can immerse themselves in a Netmarble-inspired experience.
“We’re anticipating a close collaboration that will enable us to create entertaining new content and collaboration events together based on Netmarble’s most popular IPs”, said The Sandbox Korea.
The Sandbox will also be able to create items based on Netmarble’s IPs, including its metaverse real estate board game Meta World: My City, which is set for launch 19th April.
Netmarble for its part, will seek new opportunities to market content and events utilizing assets based on the company’s prominent titles such as Seven Knights and Merge Fantasy Island.
And more The Sandbox
The announcement was made just days after The Sandbox, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, published its highly anticipated roadmap updates.
Some of the features included will see LAND owners able to further personalise their LANDs and publish them for everyone to enjoy, and creators to sell their creations in the marketplace, as well as new $SAND staking pools.
