ONE Championship partners with Animoca for ONE Fight Arena

Animoca Brands and its self-owned developer Notre Game have teamed up with ONE Championship to create web3 mobile game ONE Fight Arena. ONE Championship is one of the largest martial arts organizations, featuring popular martial artists and a large IP library. Developing an NFT-powered game will see some of these IPs become digital assets.

ONE Fight Arena goes beyond traditional sports games and includes strategy as an important aspect of its gameplay. Players will step into the shoes of an athlete and build their career from scratch. Set to be included are popular athletes like Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, and many other champions.

“We’re thrilled to work with an industry leader in Animoca Brands to launch ONE Fight Arena, our first web3-enhanced video game. This partnership will give us the opportunity to engage with our global fanbase at a deeper level through a unique gaming experience,” commented Hua Fung Teh, the co-founder and group president of ONE.

ONE Fight Arena will be a free-to-play title, so players can choose not to get the NFTs and play it as a traditional mobile game. Players who wish to delve into the web3 integration of it however, can buy and own the digital assets.

The upcoming mobile NFT game is developed by Notre Game, the Prague-based studio behind Scratch Lords and Scratch Wars. Its CEO, Jiri Mikolas, commented on the collaboration saying “We’re looking forward to working with ONE and Animoca Brands to bring this project to life, reach the hearts of players around the world, and push the boundaries of mobile gaming”.

ONE Fight Arena’s playtest is scheduled for Q4 2023 and the final worldwide release will be in Q1 2024.
