Hoping to build momentum ahead of Ronin becoming an open permissionless blockchain, Sky Mavis has launched a $10 million ecosystem grants program, which consists of two separate grants.
Offering funding up to $300,000 worth of RON to developers building on Ronin, the aim of the Builders Grant is to “help promising teams deploy new innovative projects” on the network.
In order to incentivise sustainable games and projects, the program is designed to gradually unlock funding based on certain achieved milestones.
With innovation a key criteria, Ronin is looking to onboard projects that seek to
- solve common pain points,
- introduce new utilities on Ronin, and
- onboard new users and increase onchain activity.
Other metrics for qualification include projects’ existing traction and reputation.
The smaller grant is the Waypoint Gas Grant, which will award up to $20,000 in RON so developers can pay the gas fees for onboarding users who are using Ronin’s social login Waypoint solution.
