Magic Eden partners with Sequence to streamline marketplace creation and liquidity

NFT marketplace Magic Eden is the latest blockchain ecosystem to sign a strategic partnership with open source development platform Sequence.

Other companies also using its “developer-first infrastructure” include games like Sparkball, companies such as Ubisoft and blockchains including Xai, Laos, ApeChain and Skale.

The result of the deal is that Sequence is now the preferred in-app and in-game marketplace provider for Magic Eden, while Magic Eden serves as the go-to thirdparty marketplace for projects built with Sequence.

The hope is that the deal will make it easier for developers to build, launch, and scale experiences across both primary and secondary markets, all while upholding sustainable creator royalties across both.

The two companies first worked together to support the minting of Ubisoft’s 10,000 NFT collection for its Captain Laserhawk: The Game project, which required the creation of a custom in-game marketplace, powered by Sequence and using Magic Eden’s minting tech.

“This partnership is redefining how monetization and user experiences evolve in web3,” said Sequence’s head of strategy and partnerships Sam Barberie.

“By partnering with Magic Eden, we give developers and creators the freedom to build robust economies with scalable revenue models and borderless access, all while delivering the seamless, intuitive experiences users expect.”

“Our partnership with Sequence marks a meaningful leap forward, combining their leading developer infrastructure with our expansive network and liquidity to create a more open and scalable foundation for web3 experiences,” added Magic Eden’s chief business officer Chris Akhavan.
