Degen risk-reward RPG Cambria has announced the creation of the Cambria Foundation and opened registration for its native token, RSGP, ahead of the launch of Genesis, a permanent persistent game world.
The foundation was announced on X on Monday at 00:00 UTC and will “steward and grow the Cambria protocol, community, and ecosystem,” according to the statement. It describes Cambria as “the world’s premier crypto stakes-based game, with millions in lifetime risked,” following three years of development across multiple seasons.
RSGP — standing for Real Stakes Game Play — will “form the core of ecosystem consensus mechanisms” underpinning the Genesis economy, the foundation said. Genesis is set to include persistent assets, guild treasuries, resource competition and what the announcement calls “high stakes war games,” with incentives and key economic levers directed by the protocol and RSGP holders.
Eligible historical Cambria users can accept the terms of a Genesis Event Opt-In Agreement via the game’s lobby site. Eligibility closes on 29 September 2026 at 11pm ET. The foundation said further information about RSGP would be shared ahead of the Genesis Event.
The announcement did not disclose token supply, distribution, chain, valuation or a date for the token generation event.
Separately, a preview of Genesis shared by a Cambria-affiliated account and retweeted by the game’s official account indicated that players will be able to purchase individual buildings across five major cities and levy taxes on their use. “Island barons” are intended to act as a counterweight, pooling resources to lower transport fees and break city monopolies.
