Japanese create-to-earn DAO and NFT marketplace Minnapad has announced two new projects in 2023.
The first comes from the Keiji Inafune – the artist and producer behind the Mega Man and Megaman X franchises – who brings his distinct art style to bear for his new IP Beastroid, which will be distributed via games, comics, anime and physical merch.
Within the DAO, Inafune aims to offer players original characters based around an immersive, post-apocalyptic world, with mechanized animals called Beastroids being humanity’s only hope for survival.
The other project – Brain Fighter – comes from Seiichi Ishii, who previously worked on Tekken and Virtua Fighter.
It’s based around small robots called Brain Fighters, which are used to battle in tag teams.
These partnerships with Keiji Inafune and Siichi Ishii are part of Minnapad’s aim to become the premier platforms for connecting Japanese creators with their fans. It’s hoped that the structure of its DAOs will give members more control via the ability to vote on the direction of a project’s development.
