While there are a great number of mainstream games that make use of their own virtual currencies, the blockchain world has the potential to make that work as part of an entire gaming ecosystem.
The same rules apply with smart contracts, which are being put to work by financial institutions. But the question of how each of these is supposed to be put into a blockchain game and used to the extent of their respective abilities remains a challenge.
