Approaching TGE, Cambria’s Genesis event breaks $41 million in volume

Cambria’s cumulative wagered volume during its ongoing Genesis event is now over $41 million, according to the game’s stats page, alongside a claim that $4 million of rewards has been distributed in “uncut gems” jackpot payouts.

However, two points deserve further explanation. Notably, volume is not revenue. Volume is the total accumulated amount spent by players, including money recycled through multiple wagers. During this time, the developer has earned only $788,642.

The second point is to highlight what people are actually playing. The original combat Dungeons have contributed $5.1 million, while the faster, gambling-heavily Dungeon Fishing has racked up $35.9 million, or 87% of all volume.

It’s also worth noting that the weekly volume has declined considerably compared to its 10th August peak. This is mainly due to the prolonged nature of the event, which still doesn’t have a formal date for the launch of the RSGP token.

Cambria’s Genesis Event Opt-In Agreement, which opened alongside the launch of the Cambria Foundation, closes on 29th September, 11pm ET.

As for the launch of the new version of the game, founder Ben.zzz’s has confirmed it will initially only be open to a supply-capped group of initial citizens first, gating access to the game’s core asset loops before widening to the broader player base in subsequent waves.
