The Sandbox has seen its fair share of major brands enter its highly immersive metaverse, and they’re certainly not showing any signs of stopping. Among them now is the legendary musician Steve Aoki.
As part of his arrival, The Sandbox and Aoki are bringing a series of 3,333 unique Avatar NFTs, which will be available to mint from July 25th.
Comprised of 6 rarities, these being Gold, Diamond, Hybrid, Rainbow, Android, and Human, users will. be able to mint them for 100 SAND – the platform’s native token.
Along with these rarities, there will also be a single, super rare Aoki Avatar for players to keep an eye out for.
Of course, any rare avatar makes for good in-game bragging rights, but each avatar will be fully playable in The Sandbox’s upcoming Season 3 of its Alpha.
The Aoki Avatars will be released in 3 waves:
July 25th 2022 (2pm UTC): People whitelisted by Aoki himself will have a chance to mint up to 2 avatars per wallet, within a 48 hours timeframe.
July 26th 2022 (2pm UTC): People whitelisted by Aoki AND The Sandbox will have a chance to mint up to 2 avatars per wallet, within a 24 hours timeframe.
July 27th 2022 (2pm UTC): Public release. Every user will have the chance to mint up to 4 avatars per wallet.
