Idle Tactics wins YGG’s first VibeBlitz game jam

Vibecode.game, a game discovery platform launched by Yield Guild Games, has announced the five winners of its first VibeBlitz game jam, following a four-week competition focused on AI-assisted game development.

The event was organized with Animoca Brands’ Minds, a platform offering AI assistants capable of remembering context and using digital tools. Participants used a specialized Game Designer Mind to develop their ideas, overcome design problems and turn prompts into playable games.

More than 250 people participated, submitting 72 games during a two-week development period. A week of community voting reduced the field to 15 finalists before an industry judging panel selected the five winners.

Idle Tactics: Ascension took first place. The browser-based pixel-art game allows players to choose a hero that auto fights while they handle the equipment, create upgrades and decide when to challenge bosses. Its creators received $1,000 worth of $YGG tokens and $1,000 in Minds Cognition Credits.

  • Second place went to Tiny Realm, a RTS game in which players collect resources and build defences against waves of insect invaders. The game received $600 in $YGG tokens and $600 in Minds credits.
  • The Last Seal finished third. The dark, side-scrolling actioneer combines platforming, combo-based combat and unlockable characters. Its creators received $400 in tokens and $400 in credits.
  • Agent Fighter, a browser-based fighting game that places human players and AI agents in a shared competitive system, took fourth place. Pixel Abyss, a roguelike dungeon crawler featuring hidden rooms, collectible items and unlockable abilities, completed the top five.

The fourth- and fifth-place games received combined token and platform-credit prizes with stated values of $600 and $400 respectively.

Entries were judged by YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon and Animoca Brands game designer Mohamed Abdelkhalek. The judges considered playability, entertainment value, originality, storytelling and technical execution.

Each game was also built within a virtual 32-by-32 plot of land presented as part of a digital neighborhood. Participants could earn bonus points by meaningfully referring to a neighboring team’s creation, reflecting Animoca Brands’ wider interest in shared digital environments for humans and AI agents.
