Wemix’s ROM: Golden Age boasts $96,000 top prize ahead of 12th August global launch

After a highly active pre-registration campaign, garnering 3.9 million sign-ups to-date, Wemade’s blockchain gaming platform Wemix has announced the global launch of ROM: Golden Age.

Dropping on 12th August 2025, it will join Wemix’s catalogue of blockchain-enabled MMORPGs such as Mir4 and Night Crows.

However, describing it as “not just another MMORPG”, Wemix says “ROM: Golden Age rewrites the web3 playbook”, featuring “massive siege wars, PVP, and real player-driven economies”.

It’s a web3 version of RedLab Games’ ROM: Remember of Majesty, which was published by KakaoGamess and released across ten countries in 2024. ROM: Golden Age is set to go live in 170 countries, excluding Korea, China, and Singapore.

The game has quickly generated significant pre-reg volume, thanks to its Buddy Boost Lottery Event. This grants people a lottery ticket which is entered into a regular prize pool draw.

Due to rollover from previous rounds without winners, the 1st prize in the current Round 5 has increased to 20,000 PLAY tokens, worth around $96,000.

The total prize pool for this event exceeds 22,000 PLAY tokens and 3,000 CROM tokens.

Establishing a wider ecosystem around the game, Wemix has also enabled early access to Crystal tokens, which can be bought pre-launch at a discount, the ability to stake CROM tokens in order to earn Crystal, and the ability to swap between USDC.e stablecoins and CROM via a swap pool.
