Dacoco has launched mobile auto battler Battlefleet Armageddon, an addition to its expansive browser-based space strategy metaverse Alien Worlds.
Battlefleet Armageddon includes Alien Worlds NFTs, where the rarity of these NFTs determines the accessibility of various tiers of battleships to the players. This is facilitated through in-game packs and NFTs that play a central role, in conjunction with WAX, which can be utilized to acquire ship packs, boosts, and make appearance upgrades. Based on this, players can choose spaceships and upgrades with which they construct fleets, enabling them to battle other players or Syndicates.
Developed by Alien Worlds’ partner studio Mercury Forge, the game has been in the works since early 2023, bolstered by a community grant from Galactic Hubs.
“From the very inception of the project, we were thinking in terms of multiplayer, and how the story would emerge naturally from engagement between players. So we talked with a member of the Alien Worlds team and it was a very interesting conversation. They saw what we were working on, which was an early version of what we have now, and we had a lot in common in terms of the vision we wanted to achieve,” said Mercury Forge co-founder Aaron Yuan.
Leveraging web3, Battlefleet Armageddon also has a deeper intention, which is to create a financially sustainable game that can self-fund any future expansion. This is facilitated through in-game packs and NFTs that play a central role, in conjunction with Trilium, which can be utilized to acquire ship packs, boosts, and make appearance upgrades.
Moreover, the Alien Worlds’ DAO system plays a significant part of the game, granting users voting rights to influence the game’s future trajectory.
Dacoco CEO and co-founder Saro McKenna explains, “A sense of community backed by powerful lore strengthens the playing environment and gameplay takes place across multiple planets, each governed by a DAO whose members engage in high-stakes decision-making and manage a treasury of native Trilium tokens.”

Deployed on WAX, Battlefleet Armageddon is F2P and available via Google Play and Apple App Store.
