Seekers Alliance and Simemes among Movement Labs’ $2 million hackathon winners
Movement Labs has unveiled the top projects who participated in its recent Battle of Olympus hackathon.
With up to $2 million in prizes, the two month-long hackathon attracted 2,100 projects from global developers, of which 85 advanced to the final round. Among the top ten winning projects, spanning across a total of six categories, two were in the NFT/games category,
- Seekers Alliance – a skill-based multiplayer TCG with NFT integration, and
- Simemes – a meme-driven social gaming platform, mixing web3 games with viral internet culture.
Winners of the hackathon will receive a financial grant of up to $100,000 from the Movement Foundation. Additional benefits include support in the form of access to the Move Collective accelerator program, introductions to top VCs, technical assistance, and more.
As for Movement Labs, it’s the company behind Ethereum L2 rollup Move Network. Aiming to bridge the gap between Move and EVM ecosystems, it allows developers to build interoperable Move-based blockchain applications.
Movement Labs’ lead strategist Ali Shiekh commented, “I’m truly amazed by the caliber and talent of developers from around the world who competed in The Battle of Olympus.”
“This event is just a glimpse of the Movement we’re building, and I’m incredibly proud of all the builders who took part.”
