Building on its partnership with US AI outfit Reka, BNB-based gaming platform Xterio is leaning into AI, generally, and AI agents specifically as it talks up its plans for 2025.
Notably, this period includes the launch of its XTER token, something players have been getting very active over through various play-to-airdrop events.
The most notable is the launch of Xterio’s Befriend AI agent campaign, which mixes social farming, referrals and text interactions with an AI agent with a XTER airdrop calculated from your leaderboard position. Running from 12th-27th December, the XTER token launch is expected sometime shortly after the event.
Befriend AI is already ranking high on DappRadar’s games ranking with a peak of 850,000 daily active unique wallets this week.
In addition, there’s an ongoing play-to-airdrop campaign from mobile game Age of Dino, which also hit an all-time-high of 428,000 DAUWs this week, thanks to the promise of XTER rewards and Age of Dino’s ROAR token.
More generally, Xterio’s CEO Michael Tong unveiled the platform’s vision for the integration of AI agents, including the launch of:
- Palio: Craft and Trade – a trading game with conversational AI gameplay due in Q1 2025,
- as well as a more general push into onchain AI agents in the hope that everyone will have their own onchain Xterio AI agent.
