Marblex announces ‘fun comes first’ rebrand

In what is part of a wider strategic refocus, Netmarble’s blockchain arm Marblex has announced a rebranding initiative.

Under the new slogan ‘Fun Comes First’, Marblex wants to reinforce its core mission of putting the fun in blockchain gaming at the forefront.

Alongside this, it’s also unveiled new brand assets including mascot gObY the goblin, who looks like he has a big bag! The mascot also plays a part in Marblex’s new token design, through which the company hopes to attract younger audiences. A similar thinking is behind the new logo with its bubble-like neon green features.

Marblex’s new business direction took off in 2024, when Netmarble announced that the entire Marblex ecosystem was migrating from Klaytn to Immutable zkEVM. The news followed multiple attempts to build traction through game releases and partnerships. None of which managed to sustain any significant activity.

Going forward, Marblex says it’s working on at least ten game projects – from MMORPGs, to casual games, and simulation titles – into which it will gradually integrate blockchain features. Currently three live web2 games with web3 integration are in operation, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, A3: Still Alive and Meta World: My City.
