Lineup Games chooses Sui as its default network

Israeli web3 game developer Lineup Games (previously UNKJD) has announced it’s chosen Sui as its main blockchain.
Focused on sports games with live experiences including mobile game Striker League and mini-game Gold Striker on LINE and Telegram, Lineup Games is currently building an ecosystem around these and future titles, allowing players to play, compete, earning points and other rewards.
It will also be launching a new token on Sui, so these points will also be used to claim a token airdrop.
Originally called Uncaged Studios, the developer raised $24 million in July 2022 and has since been working on its main mobile football game, which was originally called MonkeyLeague and launched its genesis NFTs and MBS token on Solana.
The game was then renamed UNKJD Soccer, since becoming Striker League.
Demonstrating something of complex of operating blockchain games, Lineup currently supports blockchain such as Kaia, TON, Base as well as Solana. However, choosing Sui as what it calls its “default network” will presumably enable the company to streamline its onchain activity in future.
“Whether it’s correctly integrating a wallet, needing to have a companion application to link with the blockchain, or any number of technical headaches, previous web3-powered games have possessed a distracting amount of friction, pulling gamers away from the games they love to play,” commented Lineup’s CEO Tal Friedman.
“By integrating with Sui, we are solving that problem, allowing the blockchain to seamlessly connect to our games and ensure that players are never taken out of the action, not even for a second. In addition to providing a frictionless experience, Sui’s innate features, such as composable, nestable NFTs, provide new experiences for gamers.”
