As we’re about to close the chapter of 2024 and look towards the dawn of a new year, we’ve been asking some of the key members of the blockchain gaming sector about their thoughts on the past year and what they expect in 2025.

What was the most significant trend for the sector of 2024?
The rise of AI-powered agents in gaming and beyond was the standout trend of 2024. These agents brought a new level of personalization, interactivity, and creativity, transforming both player experiences and creator ecosystems across the web3 space.
How did the focus of your business change this year?
After embracing the immense change AI will bring to gaming, crypto and beyond, we began developing Mojo AI over the summer, a platform that merges gaming, AI agents, and web3, allowing players and creators to co-own, customize, and monetize AI agents. With the growing demand for AI-driven solutions, we knew this was the time to act boldly.
What do you predict will be the most important trends in 2025?
In 2025, I foresee the seamless integration of AI agents into our everyday lives – not just games and virtual experiences but agents to help with more utilitarian tasks to make us more efficient. Multi-Agentic systems where agents have specific tasks will become the norm vs these “do-it-all” LLMs most are using today. We will also see the rise of “VIP” agent-KOLs and the need to interact with them beyond just chat and social media.
What was your favourite blockchain game of the year?
If there’s one blockchain game that stood out this year, it’s Pirate Nation. Combining vibrant visuals, immersive mechanics, and the innovative possibilities of on-chain gaming, it offers a rich, multi-layered experience, taking full advantage of blockchain integration, giving players ownership of assets and a real stake in the game’s evolving economy.
What’s your New Year’s resolution and what resolution would you enforce on the industry?
In 2025, we’re doubling down on our vision for Mojo AI, where AI agents aren’t just supporting characters – they’re the stars of the show. Our mission is to redefine gaming by blending the immersive potential of AI with web3 ownership and creativity. From personalizing gameplay to shaping entire gaming ecosystems, AI agents are set to reshape how players connect, create, and compete.
This year, we’re committed to showcasing that vision and leading the charge in making AI agents the centerpiece of the next era in gaming.
