Kinetix secures $11 million in funding to push user-generated content on the metaverse

Operating as an AI-assisted, 3D animation firm – Kinetix has announced that it’s secured $11 million in its latest seed investment round. The fund raise itself was led by Top Harvest Capital Founder, Adam Ghoborah, with the participation of The Sandbox and ZEPETO.

Set up as a ‘no-code’ platform, Kinetix offers its users an easy-to-use way to convert video into 3D animated avatars; something that would take a considerable amount of time for even an experienced animator.

It’s easy to see how the company managed to gain the interest of veteran VCs and metaverse platforms. This quick video to 3D avatar creation allows users to easily share and integrate these solutions into virtual worlds.

Virtual worlds have been growing in popularity and global acclaim, with The Sandbox and Animoca Brands representing both the potential of the metaverse, and the latter the economic interest in them. This interest, however, is tempered by the pragmatic understanding that accessibility is paramount to ensure long-term usability. That’s where Kinetix comes into play.

Simplifying an otherwise complicated process, the company bridges the gap between user avatars, and their ability to bring them to the metaverse. With the support of The Sandbox and ZEPETO, Kinetix aims to help lower the bar or entry from Web2 to Web3.
