MegaWorld’s MEGA token sale underway ahead of open alpha launch

In development since 2018, the former MegaCryptoPolis, since rebranded to MegaWorld, has announced details of of its MEGA token mint ahead of the open alpha release of MegaWorld Express.

Set to launch in Q2 2024, MegaWorld Express is a courier simulator in which players take on various delivery tasks in three autonomous cities built by the players themselves, part of the broader strategy for the web3 city builder.

Ahead of its alpha launch, the team has announced that 24% of the total supply of MEGA tokens will be released to the market via direct deals. More particularly, a total of 5 million MEGA will be sold in five separate batches, each comprising 1 million tokens.

The first batch will require a minimum buy of 250,000 token while the second is 150,000, and the third 50,000. The first and the second batch have already been reserved by players, whereas the third batch was released on 20th February. Dropping to the public on 15th March, the fourth batch contains a minimum order of 1,000 tokens.

MEGA has never been airdropped or given away before, and the event marks the first time it’s made available at such a scale.

As MegaWorld is deployed fully onchain, MEGA tokens are required for every transaction in the game, with the public alpha providing additional utility. To that end, the funds raised from the mint will also be aimed at increasing user acquisition and token liquidity.

Visit the MEGA token website for more details on how to register for the mint.
