Double Jump invests in Neoclassic to help Asian web3 startups expand
Continuing to strive for mass adoption of blockchain tech, Double Jump Tokyo has announced an investment into Neoclassic Capital, a US-based VC focusing on opportunities for web3 in Asia. The investment was made in collaboration with web3 accelerator Arriba Studio.
Spearheading Asian web3 startups in the entertainment and game sector, the partnership fund aims to lay a foundation for these companies to expand and thrive on the global scene.
Neoclassic is co-founded by Steve Lee and Michael Bucella, both of whom were previously associated with BlockTower Capital.
Combining Double Jump’s expertise of the Asian web3 market, and particularly Japan, with Neoclassic’s wide network of investors, the larger purpose is to promote adoption of web3 technologies globally.
Founded in Japan in 2018, Double Jump has built an extensive portfolio of partner companies, one of the most notable being Ubisoft with its first native blockchain game Champions Tactics, which is launching on Double Jump Tokyo’s Oasys L2 Homeverse on 23rd October 2024.
In addition, Double Jump launched one of the early web3 games My Crypto Heroes, and is currently preparing for the launch of Kai Sangokushi Taisen – Battle of Three Kingdoms.
