Off The Grid kicks off daily $3,000 Clash for Cash tournament
Following its recent high-profile launch via console and PC, Gunzilla Games’ thirdperson shooter Off The Grid has kicked off OTG Clash for Cash, a daily tournament entailing a $3,000 prize pool.
More specifically, players compete in the game’s Extraction Royale mode, looking to earn the highest score through match placement, which is based on kills (2 points), assists (1 point), and Hex Extractions (6 points each).
The top 10 players on the leaderboard will all be eligible for a share of the daily $3,000 prize pool. There’s no need to sign up to participate, but winners must be 18-or-over and register and verify their accounts within 48 hours following the end of the tournament to claim their prize.
Starting at 8pm UTC/12pm PST/3pm EST, the tournament resets and starts over every 24 hours, giving new players the chance to climb the ranks. Currently live via PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and S, as well as PC via Epic Games Store, Off The Grid is free-to-play and participation in OTG Clash for Cash is also free.
In terms of user numbers, Gunzilla hasn’t officially published any yet, but the developer’s director of web3 Theodore Agranat has said the game’s daily active users keep growing, with an influx of around 6.5 million new user wallets following its launch. Every new player gets an invisible wallet on the Gunz blockchain created for them.
Thirdparty data companies disagree about its success, with DappRadar tracking around 200,000 daily active wallets, while Flipside is at around 500,000 DAUWs.
