SKALE launches $2 million indie game accelerator for web2 devs

Blockchain company SKALE Labs has launched a $2 million indie game grant program for solo developers and indie game studios looking to build and scale their blockchain games on its L1 blockchain.

In addition to funding, the new indie gaming accelerator will offer mentorship and technical support as it seeks to encourage web2 game developers in particular. Indeed, the program is designed specifically for game developers looking to either infuse blockchain technology into their existing games, or build completely new web3 games.

Open to projects at any stage of development, the program offers:

  • An SKL token pool with milestone-based pay-outs to ensure meaningful progress.
  • Successful projects will be able to pitch their projects to leading VCs and angel investors that are part of Skale’s funding partner program.
  • Dedicated coaching and two exclusive pitch sessions.
  • Technical blockchain architectural support as well as token launch support.
  • Marketing support.

SKALE Labs co-founder and CEO Jack O’Holleran commented, “SKALE has quickly become a premier gaming ecosystem with over 230,000 daily active wallets and over 1 billion total transactions on the network. With the grant program, we want to ensure the network remains at the forefront of web3 gaming adoption and look forward to supporting the next wave of creativity on SKALE.”
