Opti Games partners with Sequence ahead of Sparkball launch

Preparing for its Sparkball season zero launch, US developer Opti Games has partnered with web3 wallet solution and gaming stack Sequence.

Running on the Monad blockchain, Sparkball is a PC-based 4v4 sport brawler which incorporates NFTs and tokens that are part of its wider Sparkadia metagame.

Through its collaboration with Sequence, Opti aims to seamlessly connect each part of the ecosystem, using Sequence’s embedded wallet solution. This improves UX by letting players log in using social platforms or email, without needing to install additional extensions.

Opti Games co-founder and CEO Chandler Thomlison commented, “With Sparkball, we’ve always been focused on the core gameplay experience, which often conflicted with our web3 positioning. Now we’re able to offer the same unmatched gameplay with all new ways to engage, greatly expanding our ecosystem potential.”

Sequence business dev Facundo Gramajo added, “With Sparkball, players get a seamless, intuitive gaming experience powered by our embedded wallet solution and web3 development stack. There are no seed phrases or crypto hurdles, just pure gameplay, backed by onchain ownership and limitless potential.”

Sparkball is currently running its pre-season event between 22nd May to 9th June. Alongside this, Opti Games has partnered with web3 gaming guilds YGG, Paladins and Tempest.

In October 2024, the developer raised $2 million funding from lead investor L1D, with other participants including CMS Holdings, Impossible Finance and YGG.
