Treasure launches its AI agents on Ronin via Fishing Frenzy
Following its AI agent pivot in April, the Treasure blockchain gaming project has been hard at work getting its tech up-and-running, and now the first fruits of those efforts are live on the Ronin blockchain.
This is something of a surprise given that Treasure was previously running on Ethereum L2s Arbitrum and zkSync.
However, Ronin’s new permissionless status means projects can quickly integrate it, something that in the case of Treasure’s AI agents includes adding support for the MAGIC token on its Katana DEX, as well as integrating the AI agent technology with idle game Fishing Frenzy.
Labelled the first game of what Treasure hopes will be many supported on Ronin, players wanting to use an agent will have to spend 150 MAGIC (worth $42) to create their own AI agent, which will come with 20 MAGIC in its own wallet to play for gas.
They can then connect it to their existing Fishing Frenzy account, or create a new one.
However, the Fishing Frenzy account will still need to be of a certain level for the agent to automatically perform some of the game’s advanced tasks. Level 15 is required for it to access the kitchen and cook, while level 30 is required for diving.
More generally, players can set up how they want their agent to play, either casting one line at a time, or many in sequence. The agent is able to use bait and replenish their energy by eating sushi.
Agents can also perform tasks such as claiming daily rewards, verify quest completions and claim battlepass rewards.
All this will require the agent to spend small amounts of MAGIC, however, with one fishing run likely to cost around 0.005 MAGIC. Players can also edit their agent’s personality at the price of 40 MAGIC.

Adding more variety to the experience, agents can be generated in the form of various Ronin NFTs collections, including Axies, Ronke and Cyberkongz or various licensed KOLs, including the likes of AgentYP, Raiden, Cagy, Jaihoz and S4mmy.
The latter are soulbound NFTs, which come with their own pre-built personalities. Each KOL will be paid a share of the creation fee for each agent created.
