Lumiterra is launching its AI agents on Monad
Despite recently completing a successful testnet event, Ronin-based pixel MMORPG Lumiterra has announced that it will be launching its AI agents on the Monad blockchain.
Monad is still operating as a testnet with its mainnet expected to go live later in 2025.
The main reason for using Monad is the way it’s designed to be Ethereum compatible despite using a parallel execution model as used by blockchain such as Solana, Sui and Aptos. This gives Monad the potential to have sub-second block times and single-slot finality.
This means the chain could be able to process up to 10,000 transactions per second.
In an X post, Lumiterra says its onchain AI agents will learn by watching how players interact with the game, allowing them to play while their owners are offline.
And as well as playing Lumiterra, agents will have the potential to interact with other games, DeFi apps and onchain social networks. As onchain NFTs, it will also be possible to rent other people’s agents.
