Launched by Yuga Labs in March 2023 and then acquired by Faraway Games in April 2024, the HV-MTL collection of robot NFTs has changed hands again.
It’s been acquired by entrepreneur Adam Weitsman, who amongst other activities also acquired the 1-of-1 Golden Key NFT from Yuga’s Dookey Dash game for $1 million in 2023.
Posting on X, Weitsman said he would be working with fellow HV-MTL collector and web3 developer Gabe8bit to build out the collection, also including ensuring its inclusion in the forthcoming Otherside metaverse.
Faraway originally acquired the collection from Yuga to integrate them within its games such as Shatterline, Rebel Skies and Villains. However, more recently it’s been focusing on AI agents and its Fchain blockchain, leaving the HV-MTL collection surplus to requirements.
News of the change of ownership had an immediate positive influence on the NFT’s floor price, which tripled on the news, although since falling back to post a 50% boost at 0.035 ETH, or $150.
Alongside his ownership of HV-MTL, Weitsman has also recently invested in Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse, buying over 5,000 Otherdeeds, Mega Kodas and Weapon Kodas NFTs direct from Yuga.
