Xion blockchain launches gaming tournament with a $720,000 prize pool

Leveraging the start of Korea Blockchain Week, the Xion blockchain has launched its Xion Arena Tournament, which is a series of events running into early 2026, with a combined prize pool of 1 billion Korean Won ($720,000).

Rewards will also include game credits, in-game characters and equipment plus physical items such as branded caps, hoodies, and mugs, and gaming laptops and keyboards.

The game being used in the tournament is the Unreal-based beat-’em Gods Legacy.

The first event is the early access beta, which is focused on attendees of Korea Blockchain Week and other pre-selected players.

The second PVE phase is open to all players. Starting in November, players will get three free daily credits, with the option to buy more. Progress will be organized via a leaderboard on which players’ point scores are recorded.

These will be used to choose players for the final event, which is a PVP contest that will start in December and run into January 2026, culminating in the Grand Final.

“This is about showing how web3 can amplify the experiences players already love,” said Xion CEO Anthony Anzalone.

“By launching during Korea Blockchain Week, we are doubling down on our commitment to the APAC market, where the fusion of gaming and blockchain is shaping the future of digital culture.”

Players can pre-register on the Xion Arena website here.
