YMIR Cup World Championship Season 2 runs 27-28th June
Wemade will host the second season of the YMIR Cup World Championship on 27-28th June at the SOOP Colosseum in Sangam, Seoul.
The tournament follows the first YMIR Cup, held in partnership with Razer in Singapore, which brings a regular esports cadence to the combat-focused Unreal Engine 5 MMORPG that’s built around Norse mythology.
YMIR Cup World Championship is a two-day hybrid format. There will be a live audience in Seoul with online broadcast across YouTube and other streaming platforms.
Online regional qualifiers run from 24-31st May to determine which servers advance to the main stage.
The tournament uses Legend of YMIR’s Server Battles mode, a large-scale PvP format where teams compete to destroy a central Tower of Victory, claim a crown, and transport it to a designated point. If no team completes the objective within the time limit, the winner is decided by aggregate points from PvP combat, boss base captures, and tower damage.
Semifinals take place on 27th June, with the Finals and a Legend Match on 28th June. The winning server earns the right to face South Korea’s top players in that Legend Match. Applications for the Korean representative slots are open until 31st May, with 250 players selected on combat power rankings. The final roster will be announced on 2nd June.
In Season 2, Wemade has also introduced Life Mode, which limits character resurrections to a maximum of three per match. The change is designed to raise the tactical stakes and was developed in response to player and viewer feedback from the first tournament.
