Ronin’s Proof of Distribution rewards builders with over $40,000 in RON
Now into its third month-long season, the Ronin blockchain’s new Proof of Distribution mechanism for building out its ecosystem appears to be working well.
Kicking off on 14th May 2026, the system rewards all games and apps on the Ronin blockchain based on the activity generated by their smart contracts, including the number of transactions and gas.
This activity generates points, which are used to work out how many RON tokens each game or app is rewarded with at the end of the season.

During the first two seasons, over 780,000 RON tokens were distributed, worth over $40,000.
As expected, Axie Infinity remains the top game, receiving over $15,000 in RON rewards, followed by Yoya Games’ Craft World at $10,500, with Ragnarok Landverse America gaining around $6,600 and Pixels at $4,800.
One interesting aspect of the live Proof of Distribution leaderboard is that players are using it to discover games they might not otherwise have known about.
Sky Mavis says this is something it hopes to build on in future with “richer project pages, improved discovery and community-driven features”.
