Immutable sells out of Gods Unchained genesis card packs
Sale raises over $6 million
Over a year since it started selling card packs, Immutable has announced it’s sold out of Gods Unchained’s genesis pack.
The accumulated total was 33,333 ETH, worth over $6 million at time of writing.
The announcement has coincided with a strong uptick in player activity with Gods Unchained’s daily wallet total peaking at 700 in mid October, according to DappRadar.
Immutable also revealed it’s going to launch its own marketplace so card owners can trade them within its platform. Of course, they can also trade them on third party marketplaces such as OpenSea.
From game to platform
This is part of Immutable’s wider positioning of what it formally labelled the Immutable Platform.
This consists of components the developer has built for Gods Unchained, including blockchain elements such as asset SDKs, and payment and wallet solutions, as well as more general tools covering social, streaming and distribution.
Immutable recently raised $15 million in VC funding from from Naspers Ventures and Galaxy Digital EOS Fund.
