Simple crypto wallet Bitski raises $3.5 million from Winklevoss Capital and Coinbase

Galaxy Digital, Animoca Brands and Signia Ventures also participate

Simple custodian blockchain wallet solution Bitski has announced it’s closed a $3.5 million seed round.

Investors included Galaxy Digital, Winklevoss Capital, Kindred Ventures, Coinbase, SV Angel, Animoca Brands, Signia Ventures, and Bobby Goodlatte.

One reason for this long and diverse group is Bitski’s mission to be the “first digital wallet build for mainstream adoption”.

To that aim, it’s working with over 300 developers to streamline their onboarding process.

Using Bitski, they can implement a single sign-on wallet for users, which is backed by its hardware-secure private key storage.

Planning to go big

Applications partnered with Bitski include The Sandbox (from Animoca Brands), strategy game Clementine, reward network Props, and gambling site SportX.

Over the coming months, Bitski will roll out more tools for developers.

It currently supports the Ethereum blockchain, but states it’s ‘chain agnostic’. Its SDK is available for all browsers, iOS, Android and Unity.
