Com2uS bringing Summoners War: Chronicles to Oasys

Ubisoft announcing its first blockchain game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles was the breaking news coming out of Oasys’ special event in Kyoto held on 28th June, that’s not to say that the rest of the announcements were insignificant.

Firstly is the strategic partnership between South Korean game studio Com2uS and Oasys, which will see Com2uS’ anticipated Summoners War: Chronicles make its way to Oasys. This cross-platform RPG will be deployed on Com2uS native chain XPLA in July, and made available to Japanese web3 gamers through a dedicated cross-chain bridge between XPLA and the Oasys ecosystem.

“We are excited to join forces with Oasys to create a game-changing ecosystem for blockchain gaming,” said Com2uS US’ president Kyu Lee.

As part of the event, founding consortium member Double Jump.Tokyo also released a teaser website and video for autobattler TCG Battle of Three Kingdoms. A PC-based TCG developed under licence from Sega, using its renowned Sangokushi Taisen IP, the game is set to be deployed on Oasys Q4 2023.

Finally, Oasys announced that double jump.tokyo is working on a wallet called Oasys Passport, as well as broader supporting wallet development for the Oasys blockchain. Its open beta will be released in August and officially launched later in 2023.
