Saga and Marblex sign strategic partnership

New gaming-focused L1 blockchain Saga has announced a strategic partnership with South Korea game publisher Netmarble’s Marblex platform.

The result will see Marblex using Saga’s infrastructure, including its app-specific Chainlets, to scale its games. The two companies will also work together in terms of marketing and user acquisition.

Saga’s mainnet is scheduled to launch in Q1 2024, while its ecosystem features 320 projects in development, 80% of which are games. It has existing partnerships with blockchains including Polygon, Avalanche and Ethereum-focused data chain Celestia.

Marblex and its underlying MBX ecosystem has been live in various forms since 2021, supporting games including Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds and The King of Fighters Arena.

Marblex has an extensive and proven track record as a blockchain game company with a credible ecosystem in web3 gaming. We see great benefits from their expertise and influence, and we are excited about the potential to enhance Marblex’s resources and experiences by collaborating with our Saga ecosystem,” commented Saga CEO Rebecca Liao.

Marblex’s CEO Hong Jin-Pyo added, “We have full confidence that Saga’s infrastructure can support the scale and quality that is essential to bring web3 gaming to a broad user base.”
