Gods Unchained’s new expansion collabs with Guild of Guardians
Continuing to roll out new games, Immutable is also busy preparing for the next expansion of TCG Gods Unchained. Apart from new key features, it also expands on its vision of interoperability, offering a stronger bridge to Immutable’s flagship game Guild of Guardians.
Called Tower of Dread, the forthcoming expansion is a sequel to the Dread Awakening event, and is set to be released 10th October 2024.
The 40-card pack entails seven 1/1 Mythic variants as well as seven new Legendary cards. Among other features introduced, the main one is a new mechanism which allows players to build up points by destroying their cards. The points can be used for discounts on further Tower of Dread expansion packs.
At a higher level however, the expansion will also see Immutable enhance its interoperability layer by further strengthening the bond between Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians. In conjunction with the expansion, Elderym will be seen in a trailer for Guild of Guardians, bridging the lore between the two titles.
“Tower of Dread marks another step in our continued march to make GU into the game we all know it can be. As we continue to improve card text and refine our processes, our small team is excited to bridge the gap and tie into GoG and future IP collabs,” commented Gods Unchained game designer Bryn Welch.
