Web3 shooter Paravox launches $130,000 esports tournament with LATAM event
Singapore-based esports game developer 81Ravens has announced its esports tournament PCI LATAM, which will see top-tier teams from across Latin America compete in PC-based 3v3 shooter Paravox.
Starting with an Open Qualifier on 17th November, which include players from Japan, SEA, and LATAM, the tournament commences with online Playoffs during 23rd and 24th November. The top two teams from the Open Qualifier advance to join the invited LATAM esports teams. Together with their teams they’ll compete for the top spot in the real-life finale, the Japan Global Tournament, which is scheduled for 21st and 22nd December in Tokyo, Japan.
The prize pool across all these tournaments is $130,000.
PCI LATAM follows the Paravox Global Rapid Tournament (PGRT), which garnered 23 participating esports teams and 500,000 viewers.
Deployed to Oasys L2 Homeverse, Paravox is a high-speed 3v3 arena shooter. Currently available in open alpha on Epic Games Store and Steam, it allows players to buy character skins which can be traded on the game’s marketplace using OAS or PVX.
In conjunction with the event, 81Ravens will also reveal exclusive team collaboration skins for certain invited teams, including LOUD, MIBR, w7m esports, and RED Canids Kalunga.
Players looking to participate in the tournament and opt for the official selection will go through a selection process, which is based on details of each player’s weapon preferences, win rates, and overall performance. Invited professional esports teams can then use this data to recruit players.
