Sui boosts support for developers by integrating Switchboard On-Demand

Continuing to appeal to a growing number of game developers, Mysten Labs’ Sui blockchain has now integrated its first real-time, customizable, and permissionless oracle aggregator with Switchboard On-Demand.

Bringing high-speed scaling solutions to developers building on Sui, the integration will also benefit end users with enhanced data-driven experiences across gaming and DeFi in particular.

Among some of the high-profile games building on Sui include Xociety, Darktimes, E4C game series, and One Fight Arena. Increasing its gaming focus throughout most of 2024, the L1 network has also attracted top esports outfit Team Liquid, which has relaunched its fan engagement platform MyBlue on Sui.

As for Switchboard On-Demand, more technically it handles data from multiple sources such as Chainlink, Pyth, and Switchboard, and aggregates it into a single feed, that developers can customize to suit their games and apps. By integrating its oracle aggregator, the efficiency of data delivery on Sui is significantly improved. This enables game developers, particularly those reliant on real-time data such as prediction platforms and sports apps, to provide faster and smoother user experiences.

Switchboard co-founder Chris Hermida commented, “Switchboard was one of the earlier oracles to be deployed on Sui in 2023, and our deepening partnership through the integration of On-Demand aligns with our goal to offer developers unmatched flexibility, security, and control over their data.”

“By making data responsive and customizable, we’re creating opportunities for developers to meet the evolving needs of end-users, providing them with richer, more accurate data across all dApps on the Sui blockchain.”
