NHN leveraging Ludo’s web3 and AI based retention and loyalty models

Continuing to gain ground in terms of new partnerships, social questing platform Ludo has announced it’s collaborating with South Korean game developer NHN.

At the back of its recent partnerships with Japanese mobile game companies DMM and Gumi, BlockhainGamer sat down with Annie Reardon, who co-founded Ludo with Renee Russo. Besides sharing details of the most recent deal, she also offered insights into the company’s loyalty and retention models, as well as revealed where the platform is heading next.

Built using AI and blockchain technologies, Ludo’s platform is largely focusing on driving retention through retargeting solutions.

“You are lighting cash on fire with your acquisition efforts. Reapplying just 5% of your acquisition budget to retention can increase game profits up to 95%,” commented Reardon.

By tracking not just in-game player behaviour but also players’ social data across platforms like Discord, Twitter and YouTube, Ludo has developed an ID infrastructure which it says gives developers a full 360 view of each player. This allows for highly tailored and targeted experiences that promote both retention and loyalty.

As for the latest partnership between NHN and Ludo, the game developer will leverage Ludo’s customizable and automated questing, meaning quests that adapt in real-time, to drive retention and enhance the player experience across a number of its portfolio games.

NHN Corporation CEO Ujin Chung commented, “We’re thrilled to partner with Ludo to bring new layers of engagement to our games. With Ludo’s platform, we can offer our players a more interactive, tailored experience that keeps them coming back, while also fostering a strong sense of community across all key social channels.”

On a final note, Reardon told us about the current growth of games on Telegram, which is an area Ludo is well familiar with. To that end, its next step is adding the social app to its suite of social questing platforms, tapping into the growing trend of web3 based engagement and social rewards on Telegram. Through the integration, Ludo’s marketplace will also enable access to exclusive NFTs and other rewards.

This expansion is scheduled for 15th December 2024.
