Hungri Games brings Metahorse Unity to Base

Previously building on Polygon, Turkish developer Hungri Games has partnered with Base to expand its MUNITY game series to Coinbase’s L2 blockchain Base.

Hoping to expand its accessibility as well as reduce costs, Hungri Games is bringing its MUNITY platform, which currently contains three games – horse catching RPG Stutengarten, horse farm trading game M-Deed, and horse racing RPG Metahorse Unity – to the Base network.

All three games are powered by the MUNITY token.

Most prominent of these is mobile-based multiplayer horse racer Metahorse Unity, which allows players to team up with friends and join guilds to race other players’ horses. It rewards players for racing, improving their horses through breeding, and their ranking on the leaderboard. Players can either own and breed their NFT horses, or choose to race with other players’ horses.

“This integration redefines onchain gaming by bringing greater accessibility and affordability. From the adrenaline-filled horse racing of Metahorse Unity to the strategic depth of Stutengarden, Base’s secure, low-cost transactions enable seamless gameplay and immersive experiences,” commented the developer via X.

Founded in 2019 and previously known for its F2P mobile RPGs, in 2023 Hungri Games announced a $1.9 million seed round on a valuation of $23 million for its web3 vision.
