Building on its new philosophy of promoting fewer, higher quality games, South Korean publisher Wemade has announced that developer RedLab Games will be launching new game ROM: Golden Age via its Wemix blockchain platform.
The game based on existing title ROM: Remember of Majesty that was released in 2024 in ten countries, published by KakaoGames, gaining a strong playerbase in South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
ROM: Golden Age is described as a “multi-platform hardcore MMORPG that combines the core gameplay and excitement of traditional MMORPGs with web3 ecosystem”.
RedLab Games expects it to launch in Q3 2025.
Wemade already successfully operates two of its own MMORPGs Mir4 and Night Crows through Wemix, with their blockchain elements adding a deep metalayer for high level players who want to mint their characters as NFTs and trade in-game assets.
