Sony launches Soneium For All incubator for games and apps

Together with partners Astar Network and Startale Cloud Services, Sony’s blockchain arm SBSL has launched a new incubator program to boost the development of games and apps for its Soneium L2 blockchain.

Called Soneium For All, the incubator is looking to select and fast-track projects by helping them to solve common issues such as user traction, technical scalability and discovery. It will also provide grant support and core technical infrastructure.

Sony hopes that the projects it’s helping could go live as soon as Q3 2025.

Selected projects will receive exposure through Soneium’s official channels as well as receiving investment support through sessions with the Sony Innovation Fund, which is another program partner. It will help with one-on-one mentoring, strategic advisory services, and the potential for follow-on investment.

Astar Network will also provide a $60,000 grant pool for projects that integrate its ASTR token as a utility or payment mechanism.

To-date, over 100 games and apps are live on Soneium including Yoki Legacy, Evermoon and Legends of Venari.

“This initiative reflects our vision to empower creators globally through blockchain technology,” said director of Sony Block Solutions Labs Ryohei Suzuki.

“By lowering the barriers to entry for developers and helping them reach users faster, Soneium For All brings us closer to a more open, creator-powered internet.”

Applications are now open with selected projects being announced in late July. For more information about Soneium For All, visit https://soneium.org.
