Ronin-based social RPG Pixels has unveiled the sequel to its inaugural Guild Wars event. Offering enhanced gameplay and new mechanics, the most striking difference from event #1 is the increased reward pool, up from $85,000 to $4 million worth of PIXEL.
Running for three months, the event starts 10th December 2024, and concludes 4th March 2025.
Officially called Spore Sports S2, it revolves around guilds collaborating on growing and harvesting mushrooms, sabotaging other guilds’ crops, climbing leaderboards, and reaching milestones. Rewards will be distributed on a weekly and seasonal basis, both to individual players and teams, in the form of PIXEL tokens, Guild Runes, and exclusive in-game items.
New for season 2 is also the T4 Ultimate Items, which can only be crafted through specific resources and new in-game mechanics.
Pixels founder and CEO Luke Barwikowski commented, “Spore Sports 2 is setting a new benchmark for PVP gameplay in Pixels with its record-breaking $4 million USD prize pool. This season builds on the success of our inaugural Guild Wars, which resulted in more $PIXEL being burned than distributed, and incorporates feedback to deliver an even more rewarding experience.”

To participate, players must first pledge to a guild before the event begins as Spore Sports is exclusive to Pixels Guild members.
