Robot Cache and WAX form a strategic alliance

Game distribution meets in-game asset exchange

Decentralized game distribution and trading platform Robot Cache has announced a strategic alliance with game-focused item exchange network WAX.

Amongst other things, the deal will see the two companies sharing cryptocurrencies and cross-promoting each other’s services.

Due to launch in mid-2018, Robot Cache is a PC platform that will enable players to own and trade their games. Sales will be split 25% for users and 75% for the games’ developers and publishers.

Joining the dots

WAX, or Worldwide Asset eXchange, is a blockchain and smart contract-based global virtual item repository using the WAX cryptocurrency that will enable anyone to set up a marketplace for in-game assets, securely, quickly and with low transaction costs.

It’s been developed by the founders of OPSkins.com, which is the first marketplace to integrate WAX payments.

“We’ve been very impressed with the WAX business model and we have a great opportunity to work together to promote our complimentary businesses,” commented Robot Cache CEO Lee Jacobson.

“WAX has access to millions of gamers throughout the world and we believe we can accelerate our respective growth by working together.”
