NFT Bayern Munich football stars sell for $80,000
Sale raised 552 ETH
Stryking, the Animoca- Brands-owned German developer of Football-Stars, has announced its holiday season NFT sale has generated 552 ETH (around $80,000 at current prices).
The NFTs sold were rare versions of Bayern Munich players for the FY19/20 season.
Stryking signed an official licensing deal with the club in 2019.
Top selling players
The top sales were the full Bayern Munich team bundles of the complete squad of 24 players.
The Christmas 2019 Edition sold for 133 ETH, while the New Year 2020 Edition sold for 122 ETH.
In this context, it’s worth pointing out that Stryking offers a three months, no-questions-asked, money-back guarantee on all items in the sale.
Perhaps more interesting in the context of the long term value of these assets, however, is that some of the player NFTs sold have already been traded on OpenSea.
The Robert Lewandowski Bundle (1st Print and Christmas Edition) resold for 64 ETH
Manuel Neuer (Christmas Edition) resold for 25 ETH
Thomas Müller (Christmas Edition) resold for 25 ETH
Robert Lewandowski (1st Print) resold for 10 ETH
In future Stryking will start selling these player NFTs in cheaper, low rarity versions, which will provide another counter-point in terms of their value.
