World of Women and The Sandbox partner up to build a $25 million fund to support women

To commemorate International Women’s Day, the World of Women Foundation has partnered with the Metaverse experience and Animoca Brands subsidiary – The Sandbox. There have been tremendous strides made for equality in the last century, and this partnership is celebrated as a means of accomplishing the same within the Metaverse.

To accomplish this, WoW Foundation will kick-start a $25 million grant from The Sandbox with four key objectives to boost the representation of women on the blockchain. These objectives include the following:

  • Upliftinng the ecosystem by supporting artists and funding projects;
  • Educating newcomers;
  • Communicating and giving more visibility to femaile causes;
  • Giving back to charities.

While these are the longer-term aims of the Foundation, it will start off by creating 10,000 voxel NFTs, to allow its community to get started on The Sandbox metaverse. These NFTs will also be followed by the creation of its own WoW Museum on the metaverse – “which will be a symbol of representation and diversity in the metaverse,” according to the WoW Co-Founder and artist – Yam Karkai.
