Announced investors include VCs such as OK Blockchain Capital, FBG Capital and Ceyuan Ventures, crypto exchanges Binance and Bancor, as well as private individuals such as Ethereum co-creator Steven Nerayoff.

“We have been overwhelmed by the demand,” commented ChiliZ’s CEO Alexandre Dreyfus.

“It has been a combination of hard work from the team, but also our strategic partners who invested and believe in our long term vision.”

Investing into the dream

In terms of the project’s current roadmap, it says it’s in negotiations with more than 10 first tier esports teams and aims to announced its first partnerships at the end of 2018.

It’s already announced its investing $10 million to support tournaments for battle royale games such as PUBG and Fortnite.
