Find out more about one of the 40 world-class blockchain gaming speakers appearing at Blockchain Gamer Connects San Francisco

Rachel Cook, Founder/CEO at Seeds, is one of 40 world-class blockchain gaming speakers appearing at Blockchain Gamer Connects San Francisco on May 14-15. To hear her speak in person, book your ticket now!

Q: What do you do?

A: I founded Seeds, which allows you to ask the blockchain for help, and receive it as a gift – no strings attached.

Q: What makes you most excited for blockchain gaming?

A: I’m excited about what blockchain can do to completely transform the world as we know it, so for me, it’s bigger than gaming. I can see blockchain tech transcending the economic system as we know it, and therefore rendering it obsolete, in a short amount of time.

Q: What are your thoughts on the way the sector has grown in the last 12 months?

A: I think the way the regulatory world has closed in on tokens has made things a lot more boring, but the old guard ultimately will not win, no matter what they try to do.

Q: What major trends do you predict for blockchain gaming in the next 12 months?

A: I don’t see any specific trends in blockchain gaming itself. Anything going on is economic-adjacent, I’d say, because blockchain tech can’t directly facilitate gaming on the chain, or anything even close, just yet because of issues relating to speed. But 2018 will be a big year for addressing scalability issues in the Etheream world as I understand, anyway. So we’ll see!

Q: Which part of Blockchain Gamer Connects/PGC San Francisco are you most looking forward to and why?

A: Discussing how blockchain can eliminate all of the institutions that make our lives worse and finding other folks who are excited about that as well. I’m stoked on that.
